I started Melanie Elizabeth back in 2008 with the aim of completely transforming any venue into a beautiful space for weddings. I wanted to demonstrate that anyone can have the wedding that they longed for regardless of budget.
At the time wedding chair covers were sought after, expensive and not easy to find. I began to make my own custom white chair covers and the business became one of the first Midlands providers of wedding chair covers before they were mainstream.
The business grew rapidly. I was soon offering chair cover hire, table centres and full venue dressing services for weddings across the West Midlands. Later that year I took on my first staff team and we expanded to provide floristry services, and mini table and chair hire with bespoke covers for childrens' parties.
After nine years and hundreds of lovely weddings and events I took a planned five year break in 2017 to spend time with my young, ever expanding family. Now they are older I'm excited to be back for 2023 and offering my venue styling service once more.
Wedding trends have changed so much over the last few years and I'm delighted to be able to bring my white chiavari chairs and beautiful chiffon drapes to my customers in place of the chair covers that were popular in the early days of my business along with a great selection of new table centres, luxury silk flowers and props as well some of the classical choices. I look forward to styling a new generation of weddings!
